Job summary

Greencore Desserts Devizes is seeking a Hygiene Section Leader to guide the Hygiene team, maintaining high standards and accurate records. This site specialises in chilled desserts and employs over 580 people.

You will manage labour, ensure safe practices, and drive continuous improvement while aligning with cost controls and Greencore values. The role is nights, Sunday-Thursday, 22:00-06:00, permanent and site-based.

Qualifications

• Experience in hygiene or industrial cleaning environments.
• Proven supervisory experience.
• Hands-on proactive approach to work.
• Strong numerical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe working practices for personnel, chemicals, processes and materials.
• Maintain hygiene, housekeeping and quality data records.
• Manage labour resources, attendance, and performance within plan.
• Oversee breaks and shift changes to avoid productivity disruption.
• Operate within cost efficiencies to reduce wastage and optimize resources.
• Coach and develop team members for continuous improvement.
• Promote Greencore values and maintain positive employee relations.
