Job description

Night Hygiene Operative

Location: Diss (Redgrave)

Starting Rate: £12.70 per hour (probation period), increasing to £13.05 per hour after probation

Bonus: +£4.00 night bonus per night

Hours: 20:30 - 05:00 (Monday to Friday) Night Shift

Major Recruitment offers a great opportunity with a client based in Diss. The role involves maintaining high standards of cleaning throughout the factory to ensure a safe, hygienic working environment.

Main Tasks:

  • Clean all meat, offal, and fat from machines to high hygienic standards.
  • Pressure wash, pad, and degrease all production machinery, floors, and walls.
  • Remove debris from production areas, ensuring thorough cleaning of floors.
  • Dispose of waste correctly in designated bins and skips.
  • Switch off and isolate machinery before cleaning.
  • Adaptability to clean any department to the required standard.
  • Assist team members to ensure complete cleaning.
  • Perform other duties related to cleaning processes.
  • Undertake chemical training during a 3-month induction.
  • Store chemicals correctly with lids fitted when not in use.
  • Report health and safety issues to your supervisor.
  • Perform duties related to poultry production as required.
  • Contribute to continuous food safety and hygiene improvements.
