Job summary

Carrs Billington Agriculture (Sales) Ltd. is seeking a reliable HGV Night Loader / Shunter Driver for our Stone Mill site.

The role involves shunting and operating on-site HGVs, loading finished products for delivery, and tipping raw materials into the mill, with close collaboration across Mill, Transport, Warehouse and Weighbridge teams. You will handle paperwork, maintain high safety standards, and support other areas to keep the night operation running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Cat B (Car) Licence is essential.
• FLT Licence or ability to obtain through training.
• Experience operating industrial machinery/equipment/weighbridge.
• Computer literate.
• Able to follow processes and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Shunt and operate HGV vehicles on site.
• Load finished products for delivery and tip raw materials into the mill.
• Work with Mill, Transport, Warehouse and Weighbridge teams to ensure correct loading and accurate paperwork.
• Operate the weighbridge and record receipts/dispatches.
• Manage bulk raw material intake and Mill Bulk Intake system, with checks and records.
• Carry out vehicle checks before loading to maintain safety and hygiene.
• Maintain clean and safe workplaces with good housekeeping.
• Coordinate workload with colleagues to keep operations on schedule.
• Ensure records and documentation are completed accurately and on time.
• Follow Safety, Health and Environmental procedures and industry standards.
