Newrest has an exciting opportunity for the role of a Night HGV Driver. The driver is responsible for loading the catering consignment(s) onto a truck as per the daily load plan, flights schedule and unloading of vehicle(s) at the unit. As a driver you are responsible to check the load is safe and secure prior to driving the truck to the airfield by using a designated route. All activities must be accomplished according to customer guidelines in a timely manner and while adhering to safety and security regulations. To provide excellent standards of service at all times in order and to ensure the site and assets are safe and secure at all times. You will be responsibility of stripping the aircraft overnight.

Reports To: Transport Manager/ Shift Managers

Shifts: 4 on 4 off, rolling shift pattern , timings starting from 16:00pm and 17:00pm

Ø Average 40 hours per week

Perfil

KeyAccountabilities and Responsibilities:

1. Checkyour vehicle prior to use at the start of your shift as standard security andsafety protocol.

2. Reportany vehicle defects and/or damage to team leader.

3. Ensurevehicle is security checked and sealed by an authorised staff member beforedeparting to the airport with specified documentation.

4. Tocomply with Food Safety and Hygiene protocols, ensure vehicle refrigeration isswitched on to maintain temperature levels as per the guidelines.

5. Loadand unload catering on and off the truck and aircraft in a safe and timelymanner and in accordance with airport safety rules, airline requirements andCompany Safety procedures.

6. Loadaircraft as per the galley plans and adhering to company policy.

7. Driveto the aircraft adhering to DVLA, local and airport rules and or law.

8. Driveon to aircraft as per your training, ensuring you do not deviate from it at anypoint

9. Handover to crew ensuring security paperwork is handed over to crew and thedelivery note is signed.

10. Return catering to the unit and ensureit is offloaded into the relevant department

11. Ensure Tacho is used correctly for everytrip and in compliance with Road Traffic Regulations.

12. Operating high loader vehicle followingtraining and health and safety procedures.

13. Delivering and collecting from variousdestinations in the UK when requested.

14. Report any incidents and accidents toyour Line Manager.

15. Ensure correct uniform and relevant PPEis worn at all times whilst on shift.

16. Ensure vehicles are kept clean and tidy.

17. Refuelling vehicles as and when required.

18. Minor maintenance of vehicles i.e., top-upscreen wash, ad-blue.

19. Work in all other areas of the businesslisted but not limited to administration (for large units in your department,for smaller units (under 50 employees) any area of administration, bond store,equipment pack, production, stores. Dependent on operational requirements.

20. Adhereto Unit safety measures in place.

21. Adhere to Inflight services securitycompliance.

22. Adhere to clean as you go standard.

23. Interact with colleagues and clients on sitein a professional manner at all times.

24. Comply with all unit Corporate, Social,Responsibility initiatives.

25. Ensure you are aware and comply with QHSEpolicies procedures.

26. Ensure you understand Newrest Non-negotiablesand adhere to these at all times.

27. Report all accident/hazards/near misses, inyour area in line with Newrest requirements.

28. Ensure you understand, comply and abide byany new or amendments to policies, processes or working practices.
