Job summary

The Best Connection Tamworth is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Night Drivers for national trunking operations. This role focuses on night work across the UK, with regular bookings and long-term opportunities.

You will perform night-time depot deliveries, unload using pump trucks, and handle returns, while adhering to drivers hours and company procedures. A paid training period and ongoing assignments are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence required.
• Driver CPC Qualification Card required.
• Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Manual handling duties are part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Complete national depot deliveries across the UK during night operations.
• Deliver to closed depots during night shifts.
• Complete approximately 2–4 depot deliveries per shift.
• Unloading using pump trucks and roll cages.
• Collect and load return empties.
• Complete vehicle checks and required paperwork.
• Vehicles will be pre-loaded, so no loading at start of shift.
• Work safely and in accordance with drivers' hours and company procedures.
