Job summary

Marie Curie is recruiting compassionate Healthcare Assistants for overnight community care across Central Cornwall. Role is End of Life Care Healthcare Assistant (Band 2) on permanent, part-time contracts with 18, 27 or 36 hours per week. Salary ~$35,633.52 pro rata plus enhancements for nights, Sundays and PHs. A £750 signing bonus is paid after 6 months.

Location: Central Cornwall. Working area within ~25 miles of home. Night shifts 10:00pm–7:00am.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
• Six months+ care experience in health or social care.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, person-centred care in patients’ homes.
• Support comfort, dignity and wellbeing overnight.
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition.
• Follow personalised care plans with the clinical team.
• Provide reassurance and support to patients and families.
