Job summary

MedMatch Vets in North West England is seeking a Night Registered Veterinary Nurse to join its emergency and critical care team. You’ll manage overnight emergency cases and care for inpatients, working with ECC vets and supporting referral cases.

Full oto nocturnal support and advanced facilities are available, with a 7-on, 14-off rota and shift hours 7:30pm–8:30am. Applicants should be passionate about emergency and critical inpatient care, capable under pressure, with experience in complex

Qualifications

• Experience in emergency, critical care and inpatient nursing.
• Confident working under pressure during night shifts.
• Experience with complex anaesthesia and critical inpatient care.
• Compassionate and reassuring when supporting clients during emergencies.
• Capable, enthusiastic and professional with strong record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Handle out-of-hours calls and support emergency triage.
• Assist with acute emergency and critical care cases.
• Provide overnight care for inpatients.
• Admit and triage routine and emergency referrals.
• Support complex anaesthesia and patient monitoring.
• Run in-house labs and assist with diagnostics.
• Maintain accurate records and provide clear handovers.
