Position: Night Duty Manager

Type: Full Time

Pay: Competitive rate plus monthly service charge, typically £2,400 annually

Schedule: 4 on 4 off shift pattern

Purpose of the Role

We are excited to invite applications for a Night Duty Manager to join our Front of House team. The role involves providing 5-star service during the night, overseeing the operation, and ensuring the safety and security of the hotel. Your presence will ensure all guests are well looked after and the Night Porter team fulfills their responsibilities to the highest standards. We encourage hospitality enthusiasts passionate about delivering exceptional guest service to consider this opportunity. Night shift hours are from 10:45 PM to 7:15 AM on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with the Head Porter and Reception Supervisors to ensure seamless handovers between night and day shifts.
  2. Address guest complaints related to hotel services and escalate issues to relevant departments when necessary.
  3. Exceed guest expectations by assisting with requests, transport arrangements, and in-room dining during the night.
  4. Manage the Front Office operations, including late arrivals, early departures, and telephone inquiries.
  5. Perform billing, auditing, and administrative tasks.
  6. Maintain hotel cleanliness and standards, providing cleaning support as needed.
  7. Conduct regular security walks to ensure safety and security of the property.
  8. Report and address issues promptly to mitigate risks.
Skills, Qualities & Experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with polite etiquette.
  • Computer literacy; knowledge of Opera Cloud is desirable but training will be provided.
  • Well-presented, adhering to Grantley Hall's grooming standards.
  • Proactive use of initiative and willingness to support the wider team.
  • Full clean driving license is essential.
