Night Duty Manager – Airport Parking Operations

Location: Gatwick Area (RH11 0QB)

Hours: 4 on, 4 off – 6pm to 6am

Salary: £35,000 – £38,000 per year

A full UK driving licence is essential for this role due to the nature of site access and vehicle movements.

Overview

Lead the Night Shift at one of the UK’s busiest airport car parks. We’re hiring a proactive and experienced Night Duty Manager to oversee overnight parking operations near Gatwick Airport. With over 3,100 spaces, a team of 70+, and hundreds of customers passing through each night, this is a critical leadership role focused on delivering seamless, safe, and efficient service during peak night hours. This is a hands-on position where your leadership and decision-making will directly shape the customer experience and team performance throughout the night shift.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and support a team of car park attendants, bus drivers, and customer service staff. Create a high-performance, positive working environment.
  • Operational Oversight: Ensure smooth running of vehicle check-ins, parking operations, customer transfers, and general site management overnight.
  • Customer Service: Act as the senior point of contact for customers. Resolve issues calmly and professionally, ensuring high standards of service at all times.
  • Decision-Making: Take full ownership of site operations during night hours. Respond to issues and unforeseen events with confidence and clarity.
  • Safety & Compliance: Maintain operational standards, safety protocols, and site cleanliness. Ensure all night shift procedures are followed rigorously.
  • Fleet Coordination: Manage the night-time operation of our shuttle bus fleet, including vehicle checks and transfer scheduling.
