Job summary

WR Logistics is seeking a Night Driver Trainer to deliver Driver CPC training under a JAUPT-approved scheme. The role combines on-the-road assessments with classroom coaching across the North West, including Liverpool, Runcorn and Manchester.

You will train drivers on defensive driving, fuel efficiency, and safe vehicle/trailer operation, while supporting managers with compliance. Salary is up to £38,000, with regular travel between depots and varied start times from 16:00 to 19:00.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Night Driver Trainer with JAUPT-approved schemes.
• Proven ability to deliver both one-to-one coaching and classroom training.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Night Driver Trainer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Night Driver Trainer to join a growing logistics and transport operation. Supporting Transport Managers, Driver Administrators and the wider training team, you will be responsible for delivering driver training and ensuring compliance with Driver CPC requirements under a JAUPT-approved training scheme.

This is a varied and hands-on role that combines on-the-road driver assessments with classroom-based training. You will work closely with drivers to promote best practice in defensive driving, fuel efficiency, vehicle and trailer use, and overall operational safety.

Salary - Up to £38,000

Location - North West Region - covering multiple depot locations including Liverpool, Runcorn and Manchester.

Hours:Start time vary ranging start from 16:00-19:00 till finish

Key Responsibilities

Skills & Experience Required

• Highly experienced HGV Class 1 Driver Trainer.


• Strong working knowledge of container transport and distribution operations.


• Experience conducting driver assessments and delivering practical driver training.


• Ability to deliver both one-to-one coaching and classroom-based training.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


• Ability to assess driver needs and provide clear instruction.


• Confident completing confidential training reports and documentation.


• Good IT literacy, including the use of electronic reporting systems.


• Previous experience in a similar driver training role would be advantageous.

Travel Requirements

• As part of this role, regular travel between depot locations across the North West region will be required in order to deliver training, conduct driver assessments and support operational needs.


• A willingness and ability to travel is essential, and occasional overnight stays may be required.
