Job summary

White Recruitment is partnering with a leading international logistics business to recruit an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver Trainer for night shifts across the North West (Liverpool, Runcorn & Manchester). The role blends practical and classroom training to develop driver skills and safety, with a competitive salary and car allowance.

You will deliver Driver CPC training, conduct on-road assessments, and maintain training records.

Qualifications

• Experienced HGV Class 1 Driver Trainer with CPC delivery experience.
• Proven coaching and communication skills required.
• Able to complete electronic training records and assessments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver JAUPT-approved Driver CPC training.
• Carry out on-road driver assessments and coaching.
• Deliver engaging classroom training sessions.
• Promote safe, fuel-efficient driving and best practice.
• Support Transport Managers with driver development and compliance.
• Complete electronic training records and assessment reports.

Driver Trainer (HGV Class 1) – Nights

Salary: Up to £38,000 + Car Allowance
Location: North West (Liverpool, Runcorn & Manchester)
Hours: Nights (Start times between 4pm–7pm)

What We're Looking For

• Experienced HGV Class 1 Driver Trainer.
• Strong knowledge of transport and distribution operations.
• Experience delivering Driver CPC training and driver assessments.
• Excellent coaching and communication skills.
• Good IT skills and confident using electronic reporting systems.
• Full UK HGV Class 1 licence.
