Job summary

2 Sisters Food Group at the Flixton site near Bungay is hiring a permanent Despatch Operative to support the PM team. The role includes checking and recording finished products, despatch paperwork, and ensuring orders meet customer specifications.

Working hours are 6:00pm–4:30am with weekly pay and full training provided. Experience in export/despatch, logistics or transport-administration is advantageous, but training will be given.

Qualifications

• Previous export, despatch, logistics or transport-administration experience would be advantageous, but training will be provided.
• Strong administration and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage several tasks and priorities within a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a practical, hands-on approach.
• Can work effectively with warehouse, manufacturing and transport teams.
• Good attention to detail and can identify errors or discrepancies.
• Can work independently while contributing positively to the wider team.
• Comfortable working evening and night shifts.
• Willing to wear the required personal protective equipment while working within warehouse and manufacturing areas.
• Understanding of transport, export or logistics compliance, although desirable.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring product quality throughout the despatch process.
• Carrying out and accurately recording temperature checks.
• Completing despatch paperwork and recording information clearly and accurately.
• Ensuring products are prepared and despatched in accordance with customer specifications.
• Checking orders for accuracy before they leave the site.
• Supporting compliance with relevant legal, transport and food-safety requirements.
• Communicating with warehouse, production and transport colleagues to resolve discrepancies or delays.
• Following all health and safety, food-safety, hygiene and quality procedures.
• Maintaining and helping to improve systems and processes.
• Reporting any product, documentation, temperature or quality concerns promptly.
