Job summary

Avara Foods is seeking a Despatch Operative at the Hollybank site in Scropton, near Hatton. The role involves palletising, loading, and ensuring efficient daily dispatch in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Qualifications

• Licences/experience with MHE equipment and ability to show competancy.
• Good level of English and basic numeracy skills
• The ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively
• Good attention to detail and a flexible attitude to tasks
• Experience within a production/manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided

Responsibilities

• Picking, storing and documenting products.
• Quality checking, wrapping and palletising products.
• Stacking frozen and chilled products.
• Loading and unloading trailers.
• Using hand scanners to log products into the system.
• Picking, checking and rotating products based on the daily plan.
• Manual handling which can include lifting equipment and products up to 20kg
