ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE

Commercial Gas Projects Engineer with installation and testing experience required to work on a long-term contract. To carry out gas boiler installation works, testing, and commissioning attending mechanical faults and carrying out maintenance on mechanical systems across the TfL London Underground estate.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· To carry out gas boiler installation works and providing test results and commissioning certification

· To carry out mechanical remedial works

· To attend and rectify mechanical faults

· To carry out planned maintenance in accordance with the company's PPM and task schedules

· Undertake PPM activity in a quality, professional manner

· Production of technical and situational reports as required

· Proactively use the technology systems given to you so that the Company can be always compliant with its contractual obligations

· To always communicate clearly and effectively with the rest of the team and clients

· Attending team meetings/briefings as always requested

· To ensure that the Company is always presented in a good light

· To escalate any major site issues or incidents to your line manager asap once noticed

· Understand and be aware of the requirements of all relevant Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality legislation and are equally aware of their own roles and responsibilities within the Company

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

· Full UK Driving Licence

· London Underground certification is required to access all areas of the estate, candidates upon successful application shall be expected to achieve the desired level of accreditation as required

· City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 - Minimum- (Heating & Ventilation/Plumbing & Refrigeration and air conditioning)

· City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3: - Preferred- (Heating & Ventilation/ Plumbing & Refrigeration and air conditioning)

Domestic Gas

· CCN1 – Core Gas Safety

· CENWAT – Domestic Gas Central Heating Boilers & Gas Water Heaters

· CKR1 - Domestic Cookers

· DAH1- Domestic Natural Gas & LPG Ducted Air Heaters

Commercial Gas

· COCN1 – Core Commercial Gas Safety Assessment

· CORT1 – Commercial Overhead Luminous Radiant Plaque and Radiant Tube Heaters

· ICPN1 – Installation of Commercial Pipework

· TPCP1A – Testing and Purging Commercial Pipework to the requirements of IGE/UP/1A

Other Qualifications:

· Hot Water Systems and Safety Course G3 (Part G3 Building Regulations)

· Sentinel- LU-ICI (London Underground Industry Common Induction)
