Job summary

Metropolitan Gaming in Nottingham is seeking a reliable night cleaner to maintain hygiene and presentation across public and staff areas. You will ensure cloakroom, toilets and entrance zones are spotless and stocked with towels, soap and supplies.

You'll sweep the casino floor, assist catering staff with waste and duties at peak times, attend training, and perform duties in line with health and safety policies. Applicants must be 18+ and eligible to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Must be aged 18 or above and have the right to work in the UK
• Flexibility to work nights, evenings, weekends and shifts in a 24/7 trading week

Responsibilities

• Keep the cloakroom and toilet areas clean and tidy
• Ensure towels, soap and toiletries are available and replenished
• Keep exterior entrance areas clean and tidy, clear litter and cigarette debris
• Sweep and clear the casino floor, remove food debris and waste
• Assist catering staff with removing used china/glassware and other waste
• Assist catering staff with other cleaning duties during peak trade or staffing needs
• Attend workplace training and meetings as required
• Carry out duties in compliance with company policy and health and safety standards

What We Are Looking For

• To keep the cloakroom and toilet (both public and employee) areas throughout the building clean and tidy.
• To ensure an adequate supply of towels, soap and toiletries are available at all times in the all toilet areas and replenished periodically throughout the shift.
• To keep all areas outside the entrance clean and tidy including: Clearing littered debris and cigarette debris, emptying of ashtrays and sweeping of paved area or designated “smoking areas” if applicable to the Casino.
• To sweep and clear the casino floor, clear up spillages or breakages and generally keep it free from food debris and other matter.
• To assist the catering staff in removing used china and glassware and other waste product from the Casino Floor.
• To assist the catering staff with other cleaning duties at times of peak trade or when staffing/customer level require.
• To attend workplace training and meetings as required from time to time.
• To carry out duties in compliance with company policy and required health and Safety standards.

Please Note:

This position requires working nights, evenings, weekends and shifts that coincide with a 24/7 trading week so individuals should be flexible in their scheduling.

Night cleaners will spend a large portion of their shift on their feet working directly with the public.
