Job summary

Gi Group is recruiting a Class 1 Driver for a leading UK parcel delivery company based in Ryton, Coventry. This is a temporary contract with ongoing work year-round and training provided if required for newer passes. Roles include loading, delivering and collecting parcels, with weekend shifts and nights available.

Alcohol deliveries may be involved. You must hold a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence with Driver CPC and DIGI card, be over 21, and have good customer service and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 (C+E) license with Driver CPC and DIGI Card.
• Age 21+ for insurance purposes.
• Minimum 2 years of work or education history.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Load / unload freight and secure load
• Complete scheduled deliveries and collections
• Ensure accurate completion of documentation
• Perform vehicle checks and report defects
• Work efficiently to meet deadlines
• Alcohol deliveries may be involved in this role
