Job summary

Flexible People Ltd is recruiting an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver for night shifts in Rugby. You will operate modern Class 1 vehicles, perform required daily checks and make store deliveries with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence and Driver CPC are essential.
• Knowledge of digital tachograph requirements and WTD.
• Experience driving long-haul or multi-drop deliveries is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 1 (C+E) articulated vehicles on night shifts.
• Perform single-drop and multi-drop deliveries.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report defects.
• Follow Drivers’ Hours, WTD and health and safety procedures.
• Ensure deliveries are completed safely and professionally.

Weekly Attendance Bonus Earn Up to £75 Extra! Estimated up to £25.00 per hour incl bonus.

Drivers can earn an additional weekly attendance bonus based on the number of shifts completed:

• £50 bonus for completing 5 shifts in a week
• £75 bonus for completing 6 shifts in a week

Flexible People Ltd are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Driver - Nights to join a prestigious and well-established distribution contract based in Rugby (CV23).

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver - Nights looking for ongoing work, competitive rates of pay and regular shifts with one of the UK's leading logistics operations.

As an HGV Class 1 Driver - Nights, you will be driving modern Class 1 (C+E) articulated vehicles, completing store deliveries, carrying out daily vehicle checks and ensuring deliveries are completed safely and professionally.

Please ensure you can commute to the Rugby (CV23) depot and have access to your own transport.

Pay Rates (Including Holiday Pay)

• Monday-Friday (PM starts after 12:00pm): £19.00 per hour
• Saturday: £21.99 per hour
• Sunday: £23.99 per hour

Weekly Attendance Bonus Earn Up to £75 Extra!

Drivers can earn an additional weekly attendance bonus based on the number of shifts completed:

£50 bonus for completing 5 shifts in a week

£75 bonus for completing 6 shifts in a week

Example: Work 5 shifts and receive a £50 bonus. Work 6 shifts and receive a £75 bonus.

HGV Class 1 Driver - Nights Duties

As an HGV Class 1 Driver - Nights, your responsibilities will include:

• Driving HGV Class 1 (C+E) articulated vehicles.
• Completing a mixture of single-drop and multi-drop deliveries.
• Manual handling of cages where required.
• Working 10-12 hour shifts.
• No nights out required.
• Operating a variety of trailers including 8m, 10m and 13m curtainsiders, box trailers and double deck trailers.
• Receiving full moving floor training before operating double deck trailers.
• Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and reporting defects.
• Following Drivers' Hours, Working Time Directive (WTD) and all health and safety procedures.

Shift Information

We have a variety of afternoon and evening start times available, offering flexibility and regular ongoing work for an HGV Class 1 Driver - Nights.

Paid Driver Assessment

All successful applicants will complete an initial driver assessment with one of our Driver Representatives.

• 3-4 hour assessment
• Paid upon successful completion

HGV Class 1 Driver Requirements

To be considered for this HGV Class 1 Driver - Nights position, applicants must have:

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
• Ability to complete daily vehicle safety inspections.
• Strong communication skills.
• Reliable, professional and safety-focused approach.

Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points. Unfortunately, we cannot accept DD, DR or IN endorsements.
