Job summary

The Best Connection Tamworth is looking for an experienced Class 1 Night Driver (C+E) to join a busy night operation in Atherstone. You will complete a regular trunking route from Atherstone to Gretna and back, ensuring safe, timely deliveries and compliance with transport regulations.

Shift pattern Tue-Sat, Midnight start, 8–10 hour shifts, temp-to-perm opportunity. Weekly pay and benefits apply. Valid tachograph card and 2 years' Class 1 driving experience required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years Class 1 (C+E) driving experience.
• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Valid Digital Tachograph card.
• Reliable and professional attitude.
• Comfortable with long-distance night driving.

Responsibilities

• Safely operating a Class 1 (C+E) vehicle.
• Completing nightly trunking runs on schedule.
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting.
• Ensuring compliance with driver hours and transport regulations.
• Maintaining professional communication with the transport team.
• Delivering high standards of reliability and customer service.
