Job summary

The Best Connection in Altham, Lancashire, is seeking a reliable Class 1 (C+E) Night Driver to join a busy transport operation. You will be based in Altham with 18:00 start times, performing trunk runs, occasional collections, and customer deliveries.

Role requires a valid Class 1 licence, CPC, tachograph card, and knowledge of driver hours. Expect a professional, flexible attitude and immediate starts for suitable candidates.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' Class 1 driving experience.
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good knowledge of driver hours, tachograph regulations, and road transport legislation.
• No more than 6 penalty points for minor offences.
• Professional, flexible and reliable attitude.

Responsibilities

• Complete nightly trunk routes between depots and distribution centres.
• Collect freight from customer sites when required.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting.
• Ensure deliveries and collections are completed safely and on time.
• Adhere to Driver Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive.
• Complete relevant paperwork and POD documentation accurately.
