Job summary

PIVT Group Ltd in Warrington is seeking a reliable HGV Class 1 C+E Night Driver on a permanent, full-time basis. The role operates on a 4-on-4-off pattern with 12-hour night shifts starting at 11pm, involving store deliveries and tail-lift handling.

You will work with trailers including double-deck types, complete all paperwork, and ensure compliance with drivers hours and tachograph rules. Prior experience and a strong safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 1 C+E licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification card.
• Digital tachograph card.
• Good understanding of Drivers Hours, WTD and road transport compliance.
• Physically able to move cages and undertake manual handling throughout the shift.
• Flexible approach to start times, shift patterns and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 1 C+E vehicles in line with legal, customer and client requirements
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly
• Deliver cages into customer stores using tail-lift equipment where required
• Complete night deliveries to closed stores responsibly and independently
• Manually unload loaded cages and move them safely into store delivery areas
• Reload empty cages onto the trailer for return
• Operate fixed-deck and moving-deck double-deck trailers where required
• Complete all delivery paperwork, PODs and electronic records accurately and on time
• Maintain compliance with Drivers Hours, Working Time Directive and tachograph rules
• Communicate clearly with transport planners, site teams and customers
• Represent our client professionally at all times
