BaxterStorey is hiring a Night Chef de Partie for the Amazon NCL1 site in Gateshead. The role focuses on high-quality fresh preparations during night service, with a 7:30 PM–3:30 AM shift and a 35-hour week.

You’ll work in a contract catering environment, bringing creativity, precision, and pride to the kitchen while maintaining HACCP standards and presenting dishes with care. The position offers full site training and opportunities to grow within a respected hospitality group.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in fresh food preparation.
• Excellent understanding of HACCP and food safety practices.
• Strong time management and attention to detail.
• A genuine passion for flavour and great hot counter presentation.
• Confidence to work independently and take ownership of the service.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation – cook dishes according to recipes and standards, maintaining safety at all times.
• Station Management – oversee your station and keep area stocked and clean per policies.
• Quality Control – uphold high standards for presentation and taste.
• Team Collaboration – communicate with teammates and support others.
• Menu Development – assist in developing and testing new recipes with the head chef.
• Cleaning and Maintenance – keep kitchen area tidy and equipment in good order.
