Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council is seeking a Night Care Worker for the Edge of Care Residential Service. This permanent, 36-hour-per-week role involves overnight care to help children feel safe, settled and supported through the night, with a focus on trauma-informed and relationship-based practice.

The job offers a pro-rata salary range of £29,690 to £31,179, plus a Level 1 Unsociability Allowance of £4,314.82 per year (pro-rata).

Formación

• Must hold Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (England).
• Hold a full UK driving licence.
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.

Responsabilidades

• Provide high-quality care and support to children throughout the night.
• Promote a calm, nurturing and safe environment.
• Support bedtime, overnight and morning routines.
• Build trusting relationships and respond sensitively to individual needs.
• Follow care plans, behaviour support plans and risk assessments.
• Complete accurate recordings and handovers.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure continuity of care.
• Contribute to a culture where children feel valued.
