Job summary

CrossReach in Scotland is seeking a Night Care Worker to support residents through the night, assisting with personal care and night-time routines while maintaining a safe, calm environment that respects dignity and independence.

You will join a dedicated team with induction and ongoing training; membership of the PVG Scheme and registration with the SSSC are required, and you should be willing to work towards an SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Healthcare.

Job description

As a Night Care Worker in our care home, you will help create a safe, comfortable and reassuring environment for residents throughout the night. While the home may be quieter, your role remains vital in supporting residents' wellbeing, dignity and independence.

Whether you're providing personal care, offering reassurance or carrying out regular wellbeing checks, you'll help ensure residents feel safe, supported and cared for during the night.

About you

You will be caring, reliable and committed to supporting older people to live well. You'll be confident working as part of a team and able to remain calm and professional in a variety of situations. Previous experience in care is welcome but not essential. We're equally interested in people with the right values, a willingness to learn and a genuine desire to support others.

You will hold, or be willing to work towards, an SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Healthcare. This role requires membership of the PVG Scheme and registration with the SSSC.
