Job summary

Eskdale Residential Home, operated by Cumberland Council, is seeking a dedicated care assistant for permanent night shifts from 9:30pm to 7:30am. You will provide personal care, monitor wellbeing, assist with medications and promote residents’ independence in a compassionate setting.

The role involves night work on a set rota with alternate weekends and bank holidays; an Enhanced DBS with Adults' Barred List check is required due to regulated activity with adults.

Qualifications

• Experience in caring for adults preferred.
• DBS check required with Adults' Barred List.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and physical and emotional support to residents.
• Get to know residents to support their wellbeing.
• Assist with medication.
• Encourage residents to maintain independence.
• Support residents to stay active and healthy, including nutrition and mobility.
• Support residents' emotional wellbeing.
