You will lead the night shift, conduct handovers, document care and medications, manage rotas, mentor junior staff and maintain strong relationships with residents and families.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, extensive dementia experience, proven leadership, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in dementia and elderly care settings.
• Proven experience in leading care teams and managing night shifts.
• Strong understanding of medication management and care documentation.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with mentoring ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the night shift team, ensuring quality care delivery.
• Conduct handovers and document care and medications accurately.
• Provide supervision and training to senior carers and assistants.
• Manage night rotas to maintain staffing and skill mix.
• Monitor care delivery and guide staff as needed.
• Be the first contact for staff and management during the night shift.
• Ensure safe medication management and adherence to care plans.
• Build strong relationships with residents and families.
• Communicate effectively with day team regarding care needs.
• Promote person-centred care and adhere to company policies.
