Job summary

Cyngor Sir Ceredigion County Council in Wales is seeking a Care and Support Worker (Nights) to join Bryntirion Residential Care Home in Tregaron on a permanent, part-time basis. The role covers 21 hours per week with night shifts and requires compassionate care for residents, including medication administration and daily records.

No prior care home experience is required as full training will be provided; a kind, patient and resilient attitude is valued and supported in a supportive team.

Responsibilities

• providing total care to clients according to daily routine as outlined in care plans
• providing emotional support and reassurance to clients, particularly when they need to adjust to change and/or family crisis
• administering prescribed medication, including controlled drugs, in line with policy and procedure
• escorting clients out of the establishment, e.g. leisure trips
• completing daily records
• undertaking cleaning, laundry and dining room service
