About The Role

Night Care & Support Assistant

Location : Fern Brook Lodge - Residential Home - Gillingham - Dorset - SP8 4Q
Pay rate: £12.50- £12.75 per hour + paid breaks

Hours: Full time, Part time & Bank

Shift: 20.00 to 08.00( including alternate weekends)
We have an exciting opportunity for a Night Care & Support Assistant to join the team atFern Brook Lodge, our newly refurbished residential care home, which is a hub for the community inGillinghamand the surrounding villages ofNorth Dorset.
Join Our Team:

Fern Brook Lodge are keen to meet people with agenuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents.

You'll need to be naturally compassionate and understanding of others.Previous care experience is not essential for our "Night Care & Support Assistant Team".

You may be in a customer care role or have helped in your community.A full induction and training programme will be provided to support you.

What you will be doing:
  • Delivering excellent person centred care.
  • Supporting & encouraging our residents to remain as independent as possible.
  • Checking on residents on a regular basis - moving & positioning if required
  • Providing elements of personal care including washing & undressing where needed.
  • Building relationships and providing companionship - getting to know our residents!
  • Working in a team to create a co-operative, friendly and welcoming atmosphere in the home.
