Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a care home with older people.
  • Experience with dementia care or adult health/social care.
  • Ability to manage medications safely.

Job description

We're expanding our team and looking for a Night Care Supervisor to join us at Mais House. This is a part-time role, working 25 hours per week on a 7-day rota - 2 nights per week, from 19:45 to 08:15. Salary: £14.97 per hour (inclusive of Night Allowance).

As a Night Care Supervisor, you'll lead and supervise care teams to deliver compassionate, high-quality, person-centred care that reflects our values and embraces the individuality of every person we support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing comprehensive, individualised care plans that promote health and wellbeing, incorporating the choices and preferences of beneficiaries and/or their families. Regularly reviewing and updating these plans.
  • Assessing and managing risks to health, wellbeing, and safety, empowering beneficiaries to make choices and maintain independence wherever possible, while continuously reviewing risk management strategies.
  • Monitoring the physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing of beneficiaries and taking timely, appropriate action in response to any changes.
What We're Looking For
  • Passion for delivering outstanding care, always putting people first.
  • A Level 3 Diploma in Adult Social Care (or equivalent).
  • A Level 3 Team Leader/Supervisory Apprenticeship Standard (or willingness to work towards it).
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development relevant to dementia care (e.g., accredited courses).
  • Experience working in a care home with older people, including those living with dementia, or experience in adult health, social care, or community support.
  • Skilled in assessing needs, developing and evaluating care plans, and managing medications safely (ordering, storing, administering, and disposal).
  • Experience in providing compassionate end-of-life care to individuals and their families.
