Qualifications

• Experience in night-shift care for adults with learning disabilities preferred but not essential.
• Knowledge of medication administration, behaviour management and first aid is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently during night hours while maintaining high standards of care.
• Compassionate attitude with excellent communication and patience.
• Physical capability for lifting and assisting residents with mobility.

Responsibilities

• Support adults with learning disabilities during night shifts, ensuring safety and well-being.
• Assist with personal care tasks such as hygiene, grooming and mobility support.
• Administer medication in accordance with instructions and policies.
• Monitor behavioural patterns and implement appropriate strategies.
• Prepare and serve meals or snacks to meet dietary requirements.
• Engage residents in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and social interaction.
• Document observations and care provided in line with procedures.
• Respond to emergencies following first aid protocols.
• Assist with light domestic duties and maintain a safe environment.
