Empowering U Healthcare is seeking a dedicated care assistant to support a young client at home with complex needs. You will provide compassionate, person-centred care, assist with daily activities and mobility, and maintain detailed care records under supervision.

Role requires DBS, excellent English, and ability to work nights. Join a nurse-led team committed to dignity and high-quality home care. Training and ongoing support are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months UK care experience.
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable.
• Strong spoken and written English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic IT skills for documentation.
• Enhanced DBS required.

Responsibilities

• Ventilation management, monitoring respiratory status and emergencies.
• Administer Home Oxygen therapy and monitor oxygen saturation.
• Medication management: safe administration, recording, storage, and monitoring of prescribed meds.
• Recognise epilepsy and provide rescue medication per protocol.
• PEG feeding support and nutrition administration; monitor for complications.
• Assist with personal care, mobility, nutrition, and daily activities.
• Promote independence, dignity, and emotional wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate care documentation.
• Build trusting relationships with clients and families.
• Follow health and safety regulations and company policies.
