Job summary

Hampshire County Council is seeking a Night Care Assistant in Gosport to provide compassionate support in our older adults’ homes. This part-time, on-site role focuses on night shifts, personal care and maintaining residents’ safety and wellbeing.

You will deliver person-centred care, encourage independence and build strong relationships with residents and families while working within our supportive team to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Experience in social care isn’t essential to join us as a Care Assistant.
• You might be starting in social care via school/college, or returning to work after a break.

Responsibilities

• Support at night: help with personal care and ensure residents’ comfort, wellbeing and safety.
• Provide person-centred care and tailor care planning to each resident’s needs.
• Promote independence and support self-care and decision making.
• Build supportive relationships with residents, their families and colleagues.
