Job summary

Etive House Care Home in the village of Benderloch near Oban is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant. This full/part-time night-shift role offers compassionate, person-centred support to residents, helping with daily living, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing.

You will follow care plans, report changes promptly and work as part of a warm team to create a respectful, safe environment. Training and ongoing development are provided, with a welcome bonus on probation.

• Previous experience is beneficial but not essential.

Care and Support - Etive House Care Home

Contract: Full Time and Part- Time

Shift Type: Nightshift

Contracted hours: Up to 44 hours

Located in the beautiful village of Benderloch by Oban, we offer small group living accommodation for up to 62-residents.

Care Assistant Contract

• £14.10 per hour
• £500 Welcome Bonus (paid after passing a 6-month probation period)
• Contracted to up to 44 hours per week
• Paid PVG pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.
