Overview

Night Care Assistant position based at Oaklands Care Home, Leicester. The home serves residents with a range of mental health conditions, and focuses on dignified support from the care team. This role offers night shifts from 8pm to 8am, on a full or part-time basis, across a 7-day week.

Hourly pay ranges from £12.45 to £12.80 per hour, dependent upon qualification level. Benefits include fully funded DBS, a comprehensive Holiday Pay scheme, generous Refer a Friend incentive (up to £250 per successful candidate), and support from our dedicated Quality Matters team to help you learn and progress.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting residents with personal hygiene and getting them ready for bed.
  • Completing routine welfare checks during the night to ensure residents are safe and well.
  • Supporting residents to dine and maintain good nutrition and hydration as required.
  • Encouraging residents to mobilise safely around the home, with mobility aids and specialist equipment as needed.
  • Providing friendship and companionship to residents.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely written records and completing documentation.
  • Being part of a multi-disciplinary team and engaging with other care professionals to promote residents’ health and well-being.
  • Welcoming family members to the home and assisting with enquiries.
