Job summary

First Bus London is seeking an experienced Night Engineer to be based at Hounslow garage. You will conduct routine vehicle inspections and servicing, ensuring safety and reliability of our fleet in London.

Key requirements include PSV licence, NVQ3 in vehicle mechanical engineering, and the ability to work night shifts. You will collaborate with drivers and operations to uphold high service standards.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and team-orientated approach.
• Organised and able to prioritise workload in a busy environment.
• Experience in bus/coach/HGV mechanical engineering.
• Must hold a PSV driving licence and full driving entitlement.
• Good IT skills including Outlook and Excel.
• Knowledge of DVSA PSV inspection standards and regulations.
• Flexible to work on night rota.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and servicing.
• React to issues from operations staff and repair engines, transmissions, chassis, braking and electrical systems.
• Maintain strong relationships with drivers and operations staff.
• Prioritise workload to ensure operational efficiency.
