Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Night Auditor to join our team in Ipswich, United Kingdom. As a Night Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel during the night shift, managing front desk duties, performing financial reconciliations, and providing exceptional guest services.

  • Conduct nightly audits of financial transactions and ensure accuracy in reporting
  • Manage front desk operations, including check-ins and check-outs
  • Provide outstanding guest services by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area and hotel public spaces
  • Prepare reports for management detailing occupancy rates, revenue, and other key metrics
  • Handle phone calls professionally and courteously, ensuring a positive experience for callers
  • Assist with administrative tasks as required during the night shift
  • Ensure the security and safety of guests and hotel property during overnight hours
  • Collaborate with other departments to address any guest concerns or maintenance issues
  • Stay up-to-date with hotel policies, promotions, and local area information to assist guests effectively
  • 32 to 40 hours on a zero hour contract

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Proficiency in financial reconciliation and basic accounting principles
  • Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of efficiency during night shifts
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in hotel management software
  • Flexibility to work overnight hours, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in hospitality management is a plus
  • Previous hotel experience is helpful but not essential
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions independently
  • Professional demeanor and a positive attitude
