Responsibilities
  • Lead the strategic leadership and operational management for Lothian Unscheduled Care Service at WGH, RIE, St John's, MCH, ELCH, Triage Hub and Overnight Community Nurses and manage the interface between secondary and primary & community care.
  • Responsible for leadership, management and control of relevant Directorate resources (staffing, funding and facilities) and achieve business performance objectives within quality standards, including local and national targets.
  • Lead the development and implementation of out of hours services that span the interface between primary and secondary care across Lothian and NHS 24 to reduce urgent front door attendances.
  • Optimise the contribution of LUCS to the urgent care of patients during the out of hours (OOH) period.
