NHS Lothian is seeking a Specialist Physiotherapist for a temporary part-time role. You will work within the Pulmonary Rehab Service, supporting patients with chronic lung conditions through individualized and group rehabilitation programs. This role requires strong clinical judgement, teamwork, and engagement in service development.

Qualifications

Band 6, Physiotherapist, 22.2 hours temporary for up to 12 months

Base: Pan Lothian, with flexibility to work across Edinburgh, Mid and East Lothian

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. Please note: As this post is part-time the salary will be pro-rata.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an established team of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Assistants working within the Pulmonary Rehab Service in NHS Lothian. The Lothian Pulmonary Rehabilitation Service runs in a variety of out-patient venues across the region providing a supported self-management programme of exercise and education to people with a chronic lung condition. Physiotherapy and Occupational therapy is integral to the service, providing an individualised exercise and physical activity programme, a holistic education programme, including breathlessness management, anxiety management and individual rehab. The service offers rehab in a variety of ways including group classes, individual sessions, virtual classes and telecoaching.

This position would be ideal for candidates who have a wide range of physiotherapy experience and who are also dynamic in utilising a senior level of decision making and clinical judgement to assess; treat and decision make for a wide range of people living with a chronic lung condition. The post holder will be actively involved in teaching and will contribute to ongoing service developments.

The Pulmonary Rehab Service is part of the wider Physio@Home and Associated Services with access to regular in-service training, supervision and support.
