Edinburgh City HSCP is undergoing transformative change to improve mental health and wellbeing support. We seek enthusiastic registered Mental Health Nurses interested in adult mental health and community work to join our Thrive Welcome Teams.

The teams use a multidisciplinary, interagency approach to deliver accessible, short-term mental health interventions for adults aged 18-64 in Edinburgh. They address issues like acute distress, self-harm, anxiety, depression, and neurodevelopmental diagnoses, considering factors such as employment, housing, social connectedness, and isolation. The team employs the Thrive model, asset-based, solution-focused approaches, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care.

The nursing role emphasizes risk assessment/management, liaising with mental health colleagues, using psycho-education, skills courses, person-centred assessments, proactive interventions, and self-management strategies to support mental health and wellbeing.
