Job summary

Leeds Mental Wellbeing Service (LMWS) within Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust is advertising trainee CBT therapist posts via a Post-Graduate Diploma at NHS Talking Therapies High Intensity level. Successful applicants will train as CBT therapists at Hull University while working as trainee CBT therapists with LMWS.

The role is fixed term (12 months) with potential progression to a permanent post. Trainees will split time between face-to-face Leeds clinics and remote work, and attend Hull

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience working with clients with a wide range of mental health conditions.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong desire to help clients with their mental health.
• Commitment to completing academic and clinical requirements of the course.

Responsibilities

• Attend Hull University twice a week to learn CBT protocols.
• Implement taught CBT protocols with clients in Leeds clinics and remote settings.
• Perform risk assessments and case management for assigned clients.
• Work to deadlines and demonstrate resilience in a changing service context.
