A healthcare provider in Cromford, England, is seeking a Senior House Officer to provide comprehensive patient care and support other medical staff. The role includes significant responsibilities for patient diagnosis and treatment, with a salary range of £37,068 to £57,650 per annum. Applicants must hold GMC registration and demonstrate strong English language proficiency. The position supports ongoing professional development and study leave for relevant training.
The hospital offers an excellent starting salary (dependent on experience) with pay enhancements for overtime, shift, and out-of-hours work. The average working week is 39 hours, with overtime opportunities as required. As a SHO/Senior House Officer, you will work closely with other junior doctors, registrar doctors, and Consultants within your department. You must maintain communication with colleagues on duty before and after your shift to ensure continuity of patient care. You will instruct nursing staff and technical staff in investigations necessary for patient care and ensure all departments are fully informed.

The salary is based on the national salary scale, ranging from £37,068 to £57,650 per annum.
The post-holder must stay current in their practice area and demonstrate this to the hospital/trust/GMC. The trust supports continuing professional development with time and financial support, aligned with Royal College requirements and GMC revalidation.
Study leave is granted for approved purposes, including time off for study, research, teaching, examinations, visiting clinics outside the hospital, and attending conferences. The maximum study leave allowance is 10 days per year.
