Job summary

Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is seeking a Band 5 nurse to deliver primary health services within a prison setting as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will undertake health assessments, administer medications, perform diagnostic tests, and contribute to a range of health interventions tailored to prisoners' needs.

The post involves flexible working across the service, including long days with a rotation onto night duties, and requires active NMC registration and Welsh language

Qualifications

• UK NMC registration is required.
• Diploma in Chronic Conditions.
• Welsh language skills (Level 3/B2) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote the health and well-being of patients/clients and maintain a safe, caring, and therapeutic environment.
• Administer medications in accordance with RCN guidance.
• Respond to medical emergencies promptly and ensure emergency equipment is conveyed to the scene.
• Inform the Nurse Manager/Deputy of actual or potential problems and contribute to resolving them.
• Provide health assessments and treatments within the prison Primary Health Service as part of the MDT.
