What you will do
  • Accurately dispense medications and manage prescriptions under the guidance of the senior pharmacy team.
  • Provide advice and information to patients, nurses, and doctors to ensure safe and effective use of medication.
  • Maintain and coordinate the stock levels within the pharmacy department, ensuring the timely ordering and delivery of pharmaceutical supplies.
  • Adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements as stipulated by the hospital and the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Assist in training and supporting junior pharmacy staff and any locum colleagues new to the department.
Requirements of the Pharmacy Technician
  • Current and valid GPhC registration.
  • Previous experience in a comparable UK-based pharmacy setting is essential.
  • Possess an NVQ or an equivalent pharmacy technician qualification.
