Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to lead day-to-day delivery of an NHS PFI contract. You will act as the principal operational interface with the Client, Project Co and stakeholders, translating contractual obligations into practical actions.

You will oversee PPM, reactive works, inspections and lifecycle interfaces, monitor KPIs, and manage the payment mechanism while coordinating a small team and external service providers.

Qualifications

• Experience managing FM service delivery and contract administration in NHS or PFI/PPP.
• Understanding of PFI output specifications, performance monitoring, payment mechanisms.
• Ability to interpret detailed contract documents into operational plans.
• Knowledge of hard FM/building services and lifecycle obligations.
• Commercial awareness including budget control and contractual risk.
• Proficient with CAFM/helpdesk systems, Excel and reporting.
• Clear communication with NHS stakeholders and subcontractors.
• Strong organization and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proactive problem-solving and judgement.
• Ability to coordinate small team and external service providers.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage day-to-day NHS PFI contract delivery.
• Become the subject matter expert of the account.
• Translate contract obligations into operational actions.
• Follow contract calendar and deadlines.
• Oversee PPM, reactive works, inspections using CAFM/helpdesk.
• Monitor KPIs, validation of data and auditable evidence.
• Administer payment information and manage deductions.
• Submit monthly performance reports and meeting packs.
• Coordinate contract review meetings and track actions.
• Maintain contract registers for risks and assets.
• Ensure health, safety, environment, quality requirements.
