Job summary

Sunshine Day Nurseries, part of Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, is seeking Level 3 Nursery Practitioners to join our Sunshine Day Nursery teams at Royal Hallamshire hospital. The role supports NHS staff and runs with flexible hours between 6:45am and 6:30pm.

You will hold an NVQ 3 in Childcare or equivalent, have EYFS knowledge, and demonstrate high standards, safeguarding and excellent communication with parents.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 in Childcare/Education or equivalent qualification.
• Literacy and numeracy skills to Level 2.
• General IT Skills.
• First Aid Certificate.
• Safeguarding certificate.

Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Nursery Practitioner to maintain an excellent quality service and act as a positive role model.
• Create a well-organised, stimulating environment that encourages independence and resourcefulness for children.
• Plan and deliver a range of learning activities in line with EYFS and Ofsted guidelines.
• Prepare children's work for display and communicate effectively with parents.
• Ensure timely organisation and collection of nursery resources and materials.
• Promote children's development through engaging activities inside and outside.
