Job summary

The Royal Oldham Hospital, part of the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust, is hiring a Band 3 Logistics Officer in the NCA Procurement Department. You will ensure a safe and efficient goods supply service, deputise for the Logistics Supervisor when needed, and contribute to best practice in materials management across the Trust.

You will drive a 3.5 tonne van to hospital sites and community locations, requiring a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy Receipt and Distribution Department.
• Good communication skills and ability to build relationships.
• Knowledge of NHS Supply Chain Systems is advantageous.
• Receipting and distribution of clinical supplies.
• Materials management of ward stock.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient, safe and secure goods supply service.
• Deputise for the Logistics Supervisor as required.
• Deliveries between hospital sites and to community locations.
• Promote best practice within the Procurement department.
• Engage with staff across the Trust to influence buying behaviours.
