Job summary

Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting for a Band 2 housekeeping role in the Francis Willis Unit. The position is 25 hours per week with flexible working options and is part-time/permanent.

You will join a 24-hour, 15-bed unit caring for male patients with mental illness in a secure environment. Prior hospital experience is desirable, and training can be provided for NVQ in support services and food hygiene.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a team are essential.
• NVQ in support services and basic food hygiene certificates are desirable, but training can be provided.
• Previous experience working within a hospital/caring environment would be preferable.

Responsibilities

• The post holder is part of a team of housekeepers who are responsible to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Achieve and maintain high standards of cleanliness in all areas, in line with NHS standards.
• Use of all cleaning equipment and materials to provide a clean and safe environment.
• Clean all areas within the unit including wards and off-ward areas according to schedules.
• Daily inspection of electrical cleaning equipment and reporting faults.
• Dispose of waste per trust policies.
• Restock and maintain stocks of cleaning materials and linen.
• Observe safe practices in line with Trust policies and relevant legislation.
