Job summary

Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is advertising a General Services Assistant at Sowenna to support the adolescent mental health inpatient team by delivering general domestic services in line with trust protocols. The post requires reliability, motivation and attention to detail to create a safe, clean and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and staff.

Qualifications

Good Basic level of ability in Maths and English.
Experience working in a care setting.
Ability to carry out set cleaning tasks to a high standard.
Basic IT Skills.
Awareness of COSHH.
Ability to remain calm under pressure.
Aware of Health and Safety Legislation.

Responsibilities

Clean all floor surfaces, furniture, fixtures and equipment as per protocol.
Wash crockery, utensils, kitchen surfaces to high hygiene standards.
Carry out duties within time scales with attention to patients, visitors and staff.
Monitor catering and cleaning stock as required by the building.
Prepare and regenerate food and beverages following hygiene standards.
Minimise cross-contamination using provided PPE.
Be accountable for keys and equipment issued during duty.
Some weekend and bank holiday work with salary enhancements.
Duties may change with service provision and will be agreed with line manager.
