Job summary

Ashford & St. Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner to join the First Steps Day Nursery at Ashford Hospital.

You will provide and enhance high-quality care for a settled group of children, supporting their development in a warm, safe environment. The role offers the opportunity to progress to Level 3 with Brooklands College, and includes close collaboration with the nursery team to deliver EYFS-based learning experiences.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Early Years Educator qualification required.
• Experience with children 0–5 years preferred.
• DBS check / safeguarding compliance required.

Responsibilities

• Be a key worker for a designated group of children and provide a stimulating, caring learning environment.
• Maintain and document Learning Journeys and provide feedback to parents.
• Support delivery of EYFS planning and activities to aid child development.
• Participate in team meetings and annual staff training on safeguarding and health & safety.
• Support progression towards Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification.
