Job summary

NHS Surrey and Sussex ICB is seeking an experienced contracts professional to lead the day-to-day management of a defined portfolio of nonclinical NHS contracts. You will support commissioning, procurement and delivery of corporate, estates, digital and other enabling services on behalf of the ICB.

Working within a Contracts and Procurement team, you will manage contract lifecycle processes, including implementation, monitoring, variation and review, ensuring compliance with national guidance

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area.
• Post-graduate degree in Management Studies or equivalent.
• Significant experience of operating in a politically sensitive environment.
• Ability to coordinate projects in complex and challenging environments.
• Experience of managing risks and reporting.
• Experience drafting briefing papers and correspondence at SMT level.
• Experience monitoring budgets and business planning processes.
• Understanding of the public sector.
• Experience in a Healthcare environment.
• Knowledge of Prince2 Foundation and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• The postholder will manage a defined portfolio of nonclinical NHS contracts across the contract lifecycle.
• Support commissioning, procurement and delivery of corporate, estates, digital and other enabling services.
• Ensure contract implementation, monitoring, variation and review in line with national guidance.
• Ensure governance arrangements are followed.
