Job summary

NHS Northamptonshire Integrated Care Board is seeking a Senior Procurement Manager to support the Contracts and Procurement Team in delivering system transformation and best practice. The role covers commissioning objectives, planning, negotiation and management of healthcare contracts across Primary, Community, Mental Health and Acute Care, with flexible office bases including Haylock House in Kettering.

Qualifications

• Educated to master’s level in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrable knowledge of PSR, public procurement legislation and NHS commissioning.
• Proven leadership and post-qualification professional development.

Responsibilities

• Lead provider selection and procurement activities within budget to realise value for patients.
• Ensure compliant procurement, contracting and market management across the ICB portfolio.
• Provide specialist advice on procurement to commissioners and senior stakeholders.
• Develop service specifications, standards, activity levels and outcome measures.
